About us at oce

O’ Connor Engineering was established in 2001 carrying out agricultural machinery repairs and modifications. Building on this foundation of dealing directly with the end user and their machines, it developed into the manufacture of innovative reliable products to include the J Range of loading shovel forks and the I Range of tractor forks

OCE is constantly developing new products, the latest product is the OCE Multi Shear launched at the 2012 national ploughing championships.

This high volume attachment carries out all your winter feeding needs – Block cutting Grass & Maize silage from a clamp, splitting round bales and loading crimp corn, pulp nuts, powder etc. into the diet feeder as well as being a very strong bucket for other jobs around the yard.

The oce story so far

2001: OCE set up as an agricultural machinery and commercial vehicle, repair and fabrication business

2002: OCE designed and built its first folding silage fork; seeing the need for a suitable attachment to match the size of the loading shovels now being used on the pit as a result of the increased output from the new generation of high capacity silage harvesters.

2002: OCE built its first stockpiling pusher blade for Bord na Mona, to be used in their biggest coal bagging plant located in Foynes harbour, Co. Limerick. This required a new design and posed an engineering challenge to produce a strong but lightweight blade of extreme length that would allow the coal to be stockpiled higher.

2003: OCE built its first square tine folding silage fork to be operated in Wales by a number of Welsh contractors. Our industrial maintenance clients increased as our reputation grew, primarily in Foynes harbour for the Bulk material importers. It was also the year that the company got involved with Golf course machinery repairs and manufacture.

2004: OCE folding silage fork sales continue to grow due to their performance and reliability; as well as our innovative designs such as the new concept square tine folding silage fork which had been used in Wales to great success since 2003.

2005: OCE build an increasing number of square tine folding silage forks for both the Irish and UK markets. The Golf course machinery repairs and manufacture section continues to grow.

2006: OCE change over completely to using square tines in their full range of silage forks due to their superior strength and hard wearing ability. The OCE range of products is increased to include pallet forks, heavy duty bale handlers for loading shovels and low ground pressure trailers for use on Golf courses.
